Last week I was flying back to South Carolina from Chicago when an older gentleman looked up from his phone, stared at me for a few seconds and said. "You have such positive energy surrounding you it's tangible." Then he quickly apologized. "I'm not being funny or making a pass at you."
I bowed a sincere and humbled thank you and we both went back to staring at our phones. I knew he wasn't trying to "make a pass" (that phrase says he was obviously over 65) because I've had many people comment on my "positive energy", "good vibe", or "natural glow" many, many times. I've heard it from men and women, who had no ulterior motives.
I'm sure you have had this experience too! People can "feel" you; some are more aware of the feeling than others but ALL humans emit feeling and ALL receive.
We tend to think of communication as something solely expressed through facial expressions, vocal intonations, and body movements. Now science supports the fact that a subtle yet influential electromagnetic or "energetic" communication system operates just below our conscious level of awareness.
This is why we feel uplifted when we are around 
positive people or down when we’re surrounded by negativity; why certain environments will get you hyped, why enthusiasm is contagious, why being in love makes you blind, or why you "hate" hanging out with certain people. Energy is something we feel, even when we can’t explain it.
The human heart is the most powerful generator of electromagnetic energy in the human body. It's electrical field is about 60 times greater in amplitude than the electrical activity generated by the brain (McCraty et al., 2015 ) and it produces an electromagnetic field that is said to reach about three feet outside of the physical body and can be detected in another person sitting nearby via an electrocardiogram (ECG). 
So when the older man stared at me I knew he wasn't staring at ME, he was trying to SEE the thing that he was feeling!

Have you ever felt someone's energy? Sure you have. As a society we have acceptable ways in which eecheck people's energy. We shake hands. We say hello and goodbye with a hug. We greet family with a kiss.
Sending people away with a prayer, showing up with a gift, or sending them off with a special meal are all ways of Feeling and/or Transmitting energy.
This is why they say look for a job while you have one; why those who have a lot receive more, and why you're more attractive when you're happy being single (how many times have I heard a woman say, "that's when my husband showed up!"). Because when you're in a place of harmony the heart emits a harmonious, physiological pattern that others recognize.
People can try to hide how they feel and think, but energy never lies. Deep down we feel the energy of everything that’s happening around us even if we’re not consciously aware of it.
